How to Manage Social Media Content

As announced on our social media channels earlier on this week, over the next few days we will be sharing loads of tips on how to manage your social media more effiently. Today's 'How to Tuesdays' post will focus on How to Manage Social Media Content.

We often receive messages from clients expressing their concern about what to post on social media channels. Sometimes they feel that they run out of ideas easily, other times they feel that what they post is not exactly relevant, other times still, they voice their concern on the fact that they don't get a lot of engagement from their followers. Can you relate?

Here's what we suggest:

1. Brainstorm Content Ideas - Don't wait for the day of posting to come up with an idea. You might get busy, you might lack inspiration or other things might just get in they way. Make sure you leave a spare notebook or document on your computer where you can jot down notes about things you'd like to post on your social media channels.

2. Create Great Social Content - Don't create content just for the sake of it. Make sure that the content you create is interesting and relevant to your target market / audience.

3. Be Consistent with your Brand Image - Whether it is a particular font, or a particular colour scheme, make sure you are consistent. It makes you look more professional.

4. Use for Content Promotion - If you publish blogs on your website, you can also use these as content for your social media channels. You can take parts of the article and share them throughout a particular week, for example.

5. Share Links - Third-party links such as articles from interesting websites, could be a good way to find quality content for your social media feed without having to come up with it yourself. So whenever you come across something interesting, make sure to save it. You never know when you might need something interesting to post!

6. Track Competitors - Check out what your competitors are doing and whilst you don't want to publish the exact same posts, they might even inspire you or give you ideas as to what content to publish.
